April 18th
This week we will re-inforce the training and actually create a DVD in

each of the setups with the 3 member groups from last week.

The Groups to create a Wizard DVD.
Group 1 - Jim, Uwe and Liz.
Group 2 - Noella, Wanda and Sandy.
Group 3 - Larry, Betty, Jane and Blanche.

We had a lot of distractions going on that led to mid stream adjusting and touching which is never good.

If you were not here last week, come and join a Group.

Problem 1 - VHS tape not rewound to the beginning.

Solution- Always examine the VHS cassette to see if it is at the beginning. If in doubt, power up the VCR, insert the tape and “Rewind”. When done eject and place on top of the VCR. Don’t put it back in until you reach the preview screen on the computer.

Problem 2 - When “Record” button was clicked, it did not start recording.

Solution - Be sure the message has changed on the screen to click “Stop” if you want to stop.

Problem 3 - Vid Box not found by LT14.

Solution - Click the back button on the screen. Remove the USB connection on LT14 and put it in the port next to it. Click the forward button and it should go to the timing screen. (Hope to resolve this.)

We learned a lot by not creating a DVD today and a Group determined for next week.

Come next week determined to create 3 DVD’s.

April 11th
We completed training on the VHS to DVD software using the 2 boxed
VCR and Laptops that are now available to use at home. The 3rd setup
from the computer has also been setup for use at home.

Bruce and Shirley actually took a setup home and can report on their
experience. The units must be at the center on Tuesdays.

This week we will re-inforce the training by actually creating a DVD in
each of the setups with 3 members doing and the rest observing.
We will even try to show a video picture (Full Screen) on the big TV.

If you have a VHS tape Home video or a movie that you want to make
into a DVD, bring it to Class.

These Units will be available to use at home to work on your Videos and you

need to take a turn at doing one in April. If you have a headphone set,
bring it so we can control audio noise.

At 11AM, we will break for a test of the Condor Program set for April 17th.

April 4th
Thanks to Members Wanda and Noella/Jim we have two more
VHS/DVD players which have been set up with Laptops - LT13 and LT14
for Version 8.0 of the Honestech sofware. We now have 3 different
Player Units, a Samsung, a Sylvania and a Panasonic. A real challenge for
those afraid of VCR and DVD Players.

We will thoroughly review the instructions below and the each member

will take a turn in doing a 'Wizard' Project.

If you have a VHS tape that you want to make into a DVD, bring it to Class.

These Units will be available to use at home to work on your Videos on a
schedule to be worked out after completion of training.

The Advanced Editing, Audio and new Photo Slideshow will be covered

at future Sessions.

It is all automatic from here on.
