Session 2 on "Photo Gallery" Apr 19th

1. Importing Pictures from your Digital Camera. ( Don't have one? 

     - Use Jerry's)

2. Organizing Files. Moving pictures to new or other folders.

3. Page 14 Emailing pictures. (Affixa)

4. Cropping and manually adjusting pictures. (Class Pictures Folder).

5. Burning a CD or DVD.

6. Sending Photos for Prints.

7. Making a Slide Show from a New Folder.

8. Take Quiz.

9. Create a Panoramic and Fused picture from other Pictures.

Computer Meetings April 11th & 12th at 10:00 AM

Meeting of Monday April 11th and 12th, 2011 Session 1 on "Basics" Apr 11th Here we Go!   Breakfast at (9:00AM) 1. Proper way to power up and shutdown a Laptop. 2. Review the Desktop. 3. Explain the use of a Mouse. 4. Using an Icon. 5. Window sizing - Minimize and Maximize. 6. Yellow Mouse exercise. 7. Mousercise Exercise. 8. Review Keyboard. 9. Using Copy and Paste. Session 1 on "Photo Gallery" Apr 12th 1. Method to select pictures. 2. Copy and Paste Pictures 3. Using a Picture as a Screen Saver. 4. Fixing by Auto adjust and Manually. 5. Straighten and Crop. 6. Apply and Undo. 7. Slide Show.

Computer Meeting April 5th at 10:00 AM

This meeting will

  be: - One On One instruction, Preparation for the Training Program starting on 4/11 and a Question and Answer Session.

No Projector setup this week.   

1. Adrienne will meet with the small group and continue G-Mail Instruction 

   and Practice. 

Please be prepared to accept an assignment when we arrive at our student counts

on April 5.

This meeting will

    be: Blogging 101

There will be Projector setup this week.   Please help with the setup at 9:30

Jerry will Demo the Senior Center Blog and show the Various detail pages 

in files so you can use them for reference.

1. Adrienne will continue the small group to continue G-Mail Instruction 

   and Practice. 

2. The demonstration will show some simple blogging. 

3. Everyone needs to add their name to the sign up sheets at the front 

    desk (If you have not already) and indicate whether a Student or Coach.

Computer Meeting Mar 22nd at 10:00 AM

This meeting will

   be: Typing the Mavis Beacon way on a Computer and One on One with Questions and Problem Solving.

There will be Projector setup this week.   Please help with the setup at 9:30

Vivian will Demo the new Typing Software and Jerry will be her first Student. (Old 1 & 2 finger Louie)

1. Adrienne will continue the small group to continue G-Mail Instruction and Practice. 

2. After Jerry demonstrates his lack of Typing skills, step up and try it. Typing lessons on a computer using 

    several different exercises can be fun. Get interested join in.

    

3. Everyone needs to add their name to the sign up sheets at the front desk whether a Student or Coach.

This meeting will

  be: Scanning to a Computer and One on One with Questions and Problem Solving.

There will be no Projector setup this week.      ( Maybe Vivian will Demo the new Typing Software)

1. Adrienne will continue the small group to continue G-Mail Instruction and Practice. 

2. Art and Jerry will demonstrate Scanning to a computer using several different Scanners. If interested join in. Bring your Scanner from home if you want it set up to your Laptop. 

3. Everyone needs to add their name to the sign up sheets at the front desk whether a Student or Coach.

Computer Group Meeting March 8th at 10:00 AM

This meeting will

 be: One on One with Questions and Problem Solving.

There will be no Projector setup this week.

1. Adrienne is gathering the small group to continue G-Mail Instruction an Practice. This was very positive last week.

2. Anyone who had updating problems on their home Laptop for (Windows7 Service Pack 1) should do it now. Some updaters had problems.

3. Vivian has the New Typing Software installed in the Computer Room. She needs a volunteer to try working the program.Someone who cannot type and could learn this way) Please E-mail Vivian at NannyWain@sbcglobal.net

4. Art is doing a one-on one with Blanch on Excel software. If interested join in.

5. Jerry will be setting Affixa up for E-Mailing from Yahoo in Photo Gallery for those wanting that.

Bring any other questions or problems and maybe we can solve them.
