Special Workshop September 16th at 10:00AM - Smartphones and Landlines

Workshop on Smartphone-Motorola MotoX.

I believe there are many Seniors that would like a "Smart Phone" and are reluctant to get one because of the $30 a month "extra" cost.

In 2012, I gave in and purchased an IPhone5 with Verizon. It costs me an extra $30 a month. I love the phone but not the bill.

Seniors are going to need to find ways to save money in the coming years and that will be the focus of the Computer group for the fall. We will to start with phones.

Senior families here are usually 1 or 2 adults having having a Land line and old style wireless phone.

Each of these probably cost $35 per month or $420 annually and $840 for the 2 lines.

A single senior could replace that with a Moto X with Republic with at $10 per month or $120 annually.

The phone costs $299 and compares to the I-phone 5.

You can take the home phone number with you with this phone when you go out shopping.

Many combinations of selections are possible and still save money but I was thinking of replacing either Landlines or old style wireless phones.
