September 13th- Tuesday

Credit Card Workshop

Tuesday September 13th and 20th at 10:00 AM

Paying by Credit Card

Agenda:

Objectives

1. Evaluate the Credit Cards you have now.

2. Individual, Secondary and Business Account Cards.

3. Learn what happens when accounts must close.

4. Learn how to protect your Credit Amount Limit.

5. Become familiar with rules for Credit Amount Limits

6. Bank Credit Card Reward Programs

7. What is the best Card for me

8. Listing of who you would like to pay by Credit Card.

9. Computer Icons to Setup. (Determined from the Listing below.)

1. Your Current Credit Cards
There are many different Credit Card Programs that offer good Rewards

and you may have one of them such as Frequent Flyer, the Costco Visa

Card or others.

This Program is for Bank Credit Cards and the Rewards they offer.

You must pay the entire balance every month to have the program

work for you.

2. Individual, Secondary and Business Account Cards
An Individual Account is in your name. A Secondary Card is another person

with a Card attached to the account. A Business Card may have one or

many cards for the account.

3. Learn what happens when accounts must close

If the Individual Account must close for any reason, the Secondary

Cards must close at the same time. The Secondary card holder should

always have another card in their own name. If a Business Account

closes all Cards are terminated, even if it is the Business owner.

No Credit limit for a business will count for an Individual.

 4. Learn how to protect your Credit Amount Limit

You need to have an Individual Account to establish and keep a Credit

Limit. If you open a new Credit Card account at a bank the limit will be

$1,000 for at least six months showing timely payments being made. If you

now have only a secondary card or business card you need to apply for

an individual account.

 5. Become familiar with rules for Credit Amount Limits

The Credit Amount Limits are set by Credit Evaluation Web sites, not the

Banks. They use history of your current monthly payment activities for

things like individual credit cards, car loans, mortgage payments, rentals

or other loans.

If you do none of that, you may be rejected or limited to $1,000.
